"She's GONE Danny!" Leah yelled.
I grasped the stab wound. "Danny, are you okay?" Leah asked, coming to my side.
"Do I look okay? She stabbed me!"
"Oh, right." Leah looked down.
Suddenly, the front door burst open. We looked to see who was there. It was the cops. "Where is Caylee?" The officer in front asked.
"She's gone." I breathed, gasping for air.
Leah lead the cops to the kitchen and showed them the window Caylee had broken through. I lay on the living room floor, grasping my stomach. A cop came to my side. "Are you alright?"
"She stabbed me." I gasped.
"Are you alright?"
"No."
The officer picked me up and brought me out to the ambulance parked outside. He laid me down on a bed and strapped me in. "Wait here."
"I don't have much of a choice, now do I?" I replied sarcastically.
The cop walked away. I laid there, waiting for Leah to come join me. She exited the apartment and walked toward the idling truck. I smiled. She was crying, and the police wouldn't let her in. "Let her in!" I screamed, near out of breath.
